The\u00a0scholarships<\/span>\u00a0will be open to students who have graduated from a Newcastle University degree in the last three years<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Up to 18 \u00a32,000\u00a0scholarships<\/span>\u00a0are available, awarded as a tuition fee discount.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Students will be eligible to be considered if they:<\/span><\/div>\n

o<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Graduate, or graduated with at least 65% in an undergraduate degree in any discipline from Newcastle University in 2015, 2016 or 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

o<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Have been offered a place to study a full or part-time postgraduate taught or Master of Literature (MLitt) degree in the\u00a0Faculty<\/span>\u00a0of Humanities and Social Sciences commencing in September 2017. Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip), Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and Master of Architecture (MArch) degrees are not eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n

o<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Are considered to be a UK or EU student for tuition fee purposes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

o<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Have not previously studied at postgraduate level.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Recipients may also be eligible for the University\u2019s 20%\u00a0<\/span>alumni discount<\/a>\u00a0on tuition fees. The alumni discount will be applied to the remainder of the tuition fee after the Excellence Scholarship has been deducted.<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Successful applicants may combine their Humanities and Social Science Postgraduate Excellence Scholarship with other sources of University funding, excluding Business Excellence\u00a0Scholarships<\/span>\u00a0and Postgraduate Opportunity\u00a0Scholarships<\/span>.<\/p>\n
