What is at stake when chasing \u2018Space and Time\u2019 eclipses the integrity of \u2018Place\u2019, for \u2018where\u2019 do we find ourselves? Does \u2018architectural\u2019 modification of our human environment respond to a need to cohere fragmented \u2018place\u2019? Will we never stop trying to pick up the \u2018pieces\u2019? Or are we beginning to appreciate that the fragmentation of experience characteristic of the contemporary, is something to which we always already belong. And to belong to an identity and a place, will not be found in \u2018coherence\u2019, but in our throwing ourselves headlong into the experience of fragmentation, as an affirmation of the accidental and random unfolding consequences that narrate each person into an unrepeatable individual existent.
