It will focus on Thomas Hobbes\u2019 theory on power being the deepest drive, thus this will explore why men are deemed to have the most power in society. Jeremey Bentham\u2019s theory on Utilitarianism gives the statement \u2018The greatest good of the greatest number\u2019 therefore this will focus on those who are in the majority do actions that are in their favour. Also a look at Simone De Beauvoir&#8217;s analysis on the \u2018Second Sex\u2019 will suggest how civilisation has constructed the woman.
