(Tips to prevent Zoombombing)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There&#8217;s a few steps you can take to make sure unwanted guests don&#8217;t hijack your Zoom meetings: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Use a unique meeting ID <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t<\/strong>&nbsp;use your <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/203276937-Using-Personal-Meeting-ID-PMI-\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Personal Meeting ID (PMI)<\/strong><\/a> to schedule meetings as this may allow users that have joined a previous meeting to rejoin. Your PMI is best kept for instant meetings with people you chat with regularly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schedule meetings with a Unique Meeting ID, especially for large or public sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-1\">Add a meeting password<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s recommended you set a password for all meetings and webinars.  You can add &#8216;require meeting password&#8217; when scheduling your meeting. Invitees will be asked for the password in order to join.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you send the meeting password in a separate email (not in the meeting invite in case calendars are public). For attendees joining by phone, pick a numeric password (6 digits is good).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-2\">Create a Waiting Room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/115000332726-Waiting-Room\">create a virtual waiting room<\/a> when scheduling your meeting and, as a host, decide who you will or won&#8217;t allow into your call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-3\">Lock your meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a meeting has started you, as a host, you can lock the meeting to stop anyone else joining (at the bottom of the screen choose <strong>More &gt; Lock Meeting<\/strong>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-4\">Limit screen sharing to the Host<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoom <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/201362153-Sharing-your-screen\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>screen sharing settings<\/strong><\/a> can be configured either in advance or during a meeting to allow only the host to share their screen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>up-arrow next to Share Screen<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Advanced Sharing Options<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Under&nbsp;<strong>Who can share<\/strong>, click&nbsp;<strong>Only Host<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-5\">Meetings in your Outlook calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember, Zoom meetings in your Outlook calendar may include the Zoom meeting password &#8211; exposing it to anyone who views your calendar.
