If you have any issues accessing your assessment or University IT systems you can call us on +44 (0)191 208 5999 at any time, or email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:it.servicedesk@ncl.ac.uk\">it.servicedesk@ncl.ac.uk<\/a>&nbsp;(email is monitored 08:00 &#8211; 17:00 BST, Monday to Friday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For your own peace of mind, before the assessment period begins, and to ensure you are prepared, we recommend the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Check you have your University username and password<\/li><li>Make sure you can log in to Blackboard or any other online systems that are required<\/li><li>Try accessing software you may need such as Microsoft Word<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any problems please contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/itservice\/support\/itservicedesk\">IT Service Desk.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can access the full suite of Microsoft Office applications at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/office365.ncl.ac.uk\/\">https:\/\/office365.ncl.ac.uk<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; simply log in and click on the &#8216;app launcher&#8217; in the top left corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Student Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) has most of the software that is available on a standard University cluster PC, including specialist applications to support students with health difficulties,&nbsp;dyslexia and disabilities. You can log in to it from a PC, laptop or tablet that is connected to the internet via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/go.ncl.ac.uk\/itservice\/wvd\">https:\/\/go.ncl.ac.uk\/itservice\/wvd<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/wellbeing\/supportservices\">Student Wellbeing Service<\/a>&nbsp;also provides advice and support to enable all students to study effectively.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full details of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/services.ncl.ac.uk\/itservice\/files\/NUIT%20support%20for%20online%20exams%20in%202020\">NUIT support for the online assessment&nbsp;period<\/a>&nbsp;are available on the IT Service website.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>University IT support is available 24\/7.
