Project Profile

The research is a collaboration between the schools of Engineering (Eng) and Architecture, Planning & Landscape (APL) at Newcastle University. It aims to explore the possibility of sustainable adaptive building systems with passive climate-responsiveness enabled by the incorporation of low-cost low-tech hygromorphic (moisture-sensitive) materials.
