NCL Sustainability Team

Who we are and what we do

We aim to reduce the environmental impact of the University through the management of energy, carbon, waste and water. The team is also involved with the management of biodiversity, procurement and transport.

Climate Change and environmental impact is a major threat to human society. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our activities at Newcastle University. The sustainability team is located within the Estates Support Service and is tasked with facilitating the reduction in environmental impact of the institution.

The University is making large strides to reduce carbon emissions, increase recycling and is developing an Environmental Management System.

This blog will contain information about sustainability, local and global issues and update readers on the challenges we face at Newcastle University.
