Material and Transformation – session 1
Friday 15th October, 11am– 12pm
Fine Art Meeting room (next to the Fine Art Shop)
The aim of workshop is to explore how material and the process of transformation can be used in contemporary sculpture.
We will specifically talk about and analyse the various ways in which objects or materials, that are ‘charged’ with a particular narrative or history can be transformed to create a new reading.
We will look at different examples of contemporary artworks that use transformation as a process and analyse how they are done and what they are trying to achieve.
