{"id":61,"date":"2025-02-20T10:54:05","date_gmt":"2025-02-20T10:54:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/sin\/?page_id=61"},"modified":"2025-02-20T10:54:05","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T10:54:05","slug":"author-guidance","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/sin\/author-guidance\/","title":{"rendered":"Author Guidance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you are interested in submitting an article the process for the journal is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>September Issue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submit an abstract of 150 words (Call for submission is ongoing but issues are published twice in a year) ( January)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We then pair you with a colleague to provide feedback and support development of the work towards a completed submission of 500-600 words ( February)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit completed article ( May )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final revisions on feedback if required ( July )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Publication scheduled for September<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage a wide variety of submissions; videos, infographics, podcasts are welcome<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equivalency of word limits: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maximum: 10 minute videos\/podcasts<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Level of development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask that if you are making a submission this should be to disseminate the result of completed projects, or to share the outcome of work in process where data or findings are available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have an idea you&#8217;d like to develop, please discuss this with the editorial team on the basis that you will be making a future submission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>What support you can expect<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The support provided will be given by peers who will act as a critical friend on your submission. They will not become coauthors on the submission.
