There are hundreds of them out there\nand each has a slightly different set of rules about how citations and\nreference lists should appear in your text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most Newcastle University students use the\u00a0<strong>Cite them Right Harvard<\/strong>\u00a0style, but there is also\u00a0<em>Vancouver,\u00a0IEEE,\u00a0OSCOLA<\/em>, <em>Chicago<\/em>,\u00a0and many more. Your lecturers will expect you to use one specific style and all of your citations and references should conform to that style accurately and consistently;\u00a0<em>same punctuation,\u00a0same capitalisation,\u00a0same everything.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have lots of help about using some of the popular referencing styles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/academic-skills-kit\/good-academic-practice\/referencing\/\">Academic Skills Kit<\/a>.
