Whether you&#8217;re just beginning your sustainability journey or looking to deepen your impact, here&#8217;s what&#8217;s coming up next month and how you can get involved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Organic September<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by the <strong>Soil Association<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soilassociation.org\/causes-campaigns\/organic-september\/organic-living-guide\/\">Organic September<\/a> celebrates organic food and farming. It\u2019s a chance to learn about the benefits of choosing organic for our health and the planet. This Organic Septembers focus is the connection between\u00a0healthy soil and healthy food. Whether you walk, wheel, take public transport, reducing car use is great for the environment and your health.Map out a car-free route to work\/ university and give it a go! Keep an eye on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/sustainable-campus\/events\/event-items\/wcfd\/\">World Car Free Day events page<\/a> to find out how Newcastle University are getting involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tip: Cycle in and use our Dr Bike services at <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/sustainable-campus\/events\/event-items\/bike-week\/\"><em>Bike Week<\/em><\/a><em> for free minor repairs!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recycle Week: 22nd \u2013 28th September<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Run by <strong>Recycle Now<\/strong>, this national campaign reminds us all to keep recycling correctly. It\u2019s a great time to brush up on what can and can\u2019t go in your recycling bin, and to explore local recycling services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tip: Check out <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/sustainable-campus\/themes\/waste-and-recycling\/a-z\/\"><em>our waste A-Z<\/em><\/a><em> to see what can be recycled on campus.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Great British Beach Clean: 19th \u2013 28th September<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised by the <strong>Marine Conservation Society<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcsuk.org\/what-you-can-do\/join-a-beach-clean\/great-british-beach-clean\/\">Great British Beach Clean<\/a> is more than just a litter picking event. Volunteers record the types of litter they find to help push for policy change.
