Drawing on Glissant\u2019s theoretical and literary corpus alongside other thinkers who explicitly think temporality in relation to the history of transatlantic slavery, David\u2019s current research seeks to diagnose and challenge the temporal configurations that sustain and effectuate systems of racism in today\u2019s world. Alongside this project, David has an abiding interest in Frantz Fanon\u2019s psychiatric practice, and his most recent publication in this area is <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1177\/01914537241270740\">\u2018Refusing Pathology: Black Redaction in Fanon\u2019s <em>The Wretched of the Earth<\/em>\u2019 (<em>Philosophy &amp; Social Criticism<\/em>, OnlineFirst).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HMRasmussen_\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/research.brighton.ac.uk\/en\/persons\/german-primera-villamizar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Holden M. Rasmussen (PhD candidate in Philosophy, Newcastle University)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holden M. Rasmussen is an early career researcher based at Newcastle University. He is currently writing a PhD thesis on the distinct yet compatible accounts of the ontological category of the limit offered by Georges Bataille and Jacques Lacan. This project, funded by the Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Programme, is under the supervision of Lorenzo Chiesa and Adam Potts. Broadly, his research interests and specialities cover psychoanalysis, comparative literature, speculative philosophy of science and psychiatry, and queer theory.
