Attendance is free.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>To join in the fun, register here: <\/strong><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/voices-in-and-out-of-place-virtual-conference-tickets-405219009967\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/voices-in-and-out-of-place-virtual-conference-tickets-405219009967\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/voices-in-and-out-of-place-virtual-conference-tickets-405219009967<\/a><\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s conference is&nbsp;<strong>\u201cVoices in and out of Place: Misplaced, Displaced, Replaced and Interlaced Voices\u201d<\/strong>, and brings together an international cohort of scholars and artists to consider the various ways and means by which the voice travels within and without the boundaries of human bodies, societies, geographies, temporalities, and technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We talk of finding one\u2019s voice, losing one\u2019s voice; of voices usurped, silenced, or extinct. As listeners, we inhabit songs and other vocalities and form relationships with voice&#8211;\u2018moving in\u2019 with them, living with them, ageing with them, perhaps leaving them.
