Find out what we&#8217;ve been up to, and what&#8217;s coming up.<\/p>\n<h2>Go Mobile programme<\/h2>\n<p>Linda\u2019s been getting the Clearing site migration under way \u2013 the site has been migrated into T4 and is undergoing a post-migration check.<\/p>\n<p>The alumni site is gearing up for go live on the 20 April \u2013 we\u2019re running final checks and adding final content.<\/p>\n<p>Linda\u2019s set up a process to manage the content work coming through Go Mobile \u2013 using a combination and of technology (<a href=\"https:\/\/trello.com\/\">Trello<\/a>) and Blue Peter (pin board, sticky tape and post its) \u2013 we\u2019ll get this programme cracked!<\/p>\n<h3>Careers websites<\/h3>\n<p>Jane has project managed the Go Mobile process for the huge Careers website \u2013 and it\u2019s finally on the last leg. Fair to say this one has been\u2026 \u2018tricky\u2019. She might need a lie down now.<\/p>\n<p>It was so big, we\u2019ve created four new, audience-focused websites:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Careers Service<br \/>\n\u2022 Careers Occupations (information site)<br \/>\n\u2022 Employers<br \/>\n\u2022 Staff (internal)<\/p>\n<p>The new Employers website went live on Monday 4 April, and both the Careers Service and Careers Occupations will go live on Wednesday 13 April.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew is continuing to populate the Careers Occupations site, which is substantial. He\u2019s certainly finding\u00a0out a lot about the different kind of jobs you can get. He\u2019s still very happy with being a web content officer \u2013 so no career change imminent.<\/p>\n<p>Jane and Lisa finalised the post-migration work on the Careers Service site and handed over the final sections to editors. Jane is also organising some extra editorial and T4 training for Careers staff.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa is also helping populate the Careers Occupations site, and is writing some handover notes for managing events on the Careers site after it goes live.<\/p>\n<p>Emily is proof reading the Careers Occupations website, while Emma C is proof reading the Careers Service website \u2013 phew!!! All ready for go live next week.<\/p>\n<h2>Campaigns and other developments<\/h2>\n<p>Emma C is reviewing our editorial style guide with a view to making it more accessible and easy to use.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew wrote a blog post with tips on\u00a0how to <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/web\/2016\/03\/22\/breaking-bad-when-it-comes-to-links\/\">avoid broken links on your site<\/a>, and Jane added a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/web\/2016\/03\/30\/a-quick-guide-to-lists\/\">quick guide to lists<\/a>. Lisa wrote this month\u2019s newsletter for the blog.<\/p>\n<h2>Training and support<\/h2>\n<p>Linda\u00a0ran a media training session.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve received 41 support requests through the NU Service Helpdesk and have resolved 19 of them.<\/p>\n<h2>Plans for the next few weeks<\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s induction planning for another content officer starting with us on the 25 April.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve got another round of Planning and Writing Web Content workshops coming up, as well as a session on T4 Basics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been a busy couple of weeks.
