{"id":1664,"date":"2016-04-22T12:00:59","date_gmt":"2016-04-22T11:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/web\/?p=1664"},"modified":"2016-04-21T12:23:11","modified_gmt":"2016-04-21T11:23:11","slug":"team-update-11-22-april-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ncl.ac.uk\/web\/2016\/04\/22\/team-update-11-22-april-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Team Update: 11 &#8211; 22 April 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Go Mobile programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Project manager Jane was elated to see <strong>the new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/careers\">Careers<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/careers-occupations\">Careers Occupations<\/a>\u00a0websites go live <\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0marking the end of a six-month project.<\/p>\n<p>It was a massive achievement by our team (it did involve most of us) and Careers, which has significantly improved a vital University service online.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa wrote up specific handover notes\u00a0to help\u00a0Careers manage their busy events schedule in T4.<\/p>\n<p>Both Lisa and Andrew were on hand for go live, giving Jane smelling salts\/support\/sugar when needed.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa\u00a0also\u00a0set about auditing the Medical Sciences site before taking a well-earned holiday.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine, Emily and Emma C met with NUMED colleagues to talk through proposed updates to their site.<\/p>\n<p>Emma C is working with Marketing and Student Recruitment on <strong>a new process for making student profiles re-usable across different sites<\/strong> and in different contexts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Alumni, Giving and 1834 Fund websites have merged<\/strong> to become a brand new site for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncl.ac.uk\/alumni\">Alumni and Supporters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew audited\u00a0sites for Mechanical &amp; Systems Engineering, Pre-Arrival, the Northern Institute for Cancer Research and Civil Engineering &amp; Geosciences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Design and technical developments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The team is currently <strong>working on\u00a0the requirements for\u00a0MyImpact profiles in T4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>They have further developed the course search and identifying courses in Clearing and Adjustments on the UGP website.<\/p>\n<p>They have created pre-migration templates for batch one websites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NUMed<\/li>\n<li>Marine<\/li>\n<li>GPS<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Medical Sciences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training and support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jane and Emma C ran sessions on planning and writing web content for editors with sites currently going through Go Mobile.<\/p>\n<p>Anne ran a T4 CMS Basics workshop and bespoke T4 session for editors with sites going through Go Mobile. This week she\u2019ll deliver a session for Careers staff looking at news, events and staff lists in T4.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve received <strong>30 support requests<\/strong> through NU Service Helpdesk and\u00a0<strong>resolved 21<\/strong> of them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plans for the next few weeks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve got a Media Management training session next week.<\/p>\n<p>Jane starts her next Go Mobile project.
