It\u2019s that time again \u2013 read on to find out what we\u2019ve been up to over the past couple of weeks.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re working on the sites from batches 1 and 2 which have been migrated into T4. There’s a bit of post-migration fixing to get them ready to hand over to our web editors. Editors will then have an opportunity to work on their content, using the new content types.<\/p>\n
Batch 3 has been migrated into T4 and we are about to start importing batch 4 later this week.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve updated our website to include details of the first group of sites in development<\/a> and outline the stages in the development process<\/a>\u00a0(University login required).<\/p>\n We are currently signing off\u00a0the components<\/strong> that our editors will be using regularly\u00a0once their website has been handed over to them to edit.<\/p>\n More complex\u00a0components (such as image galleries and grid layouts) will be worked on soon after this.<\/p>\n Press Office and Research design mock-ups are now complete. Batch 1 and 2 base stylesheets to be developed further for roll out within T4.<\/p>\n Planning is underway to migrate the Undergraduate site into a responsive design.<\/p>\n We received our first official feedback<\/strong> on our Writing and Planning Web Content workshop.<\/p>\n We got some great comments<\/strong> on the session \u2013 so we\u2019re happy.\u00a0 People seemed to really like:<\/p>\n We’re continuously developing our training as we learn more.<\/p>\n We’ve introduced a T4 show and tell session for our own team<\/strong> to help us understand the CMS as we start using it.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve received 45\u00a0support requests<\/strong> through the NU Service Helpdesk<\/a> and have resolved 25\u00a0of them.<\/strong><\/p>\n There\u2019s still a lot of business as usual!<\/p>\n Linda has worked with our International Marketing team to review plans for a restructure of their content over the summer.<\/p>\n Discussions\/sites are in the pipeline with HR, Clearing, Careers and our Assessed Summer School.<\/p>\n Emma C has been monitoring our performance in search rankings. She\u2019s also looking into better ways to report and display our analytics data.<\/p>\n Emma C and Lisa launched the new Newcastle University London website<\/a>.<\/p>\n We\u2019re busy preparing for our next batch of Go Mobile training.<\/p>\n We\u2019re always planning and writing blogs \u2013 let us know if there\u2019s a topic you\u2019d like us to cover.<\/p>\n Holiday season is underway<\/strong>. A couple of our team are over in Malaysia at the moment. They took the opportunity to visit our medical campus: NUMed Malaysia<\/a>\u00a0while they were there.
