We have had a student who just wanted to borrow a laptop cable as he has his own laptop. Please don’t issue one of the cables numbered 1-30 as these are intended to be issued with our laptops.
I have a couple of spare cables which can be used for this purpose (cables 37 and 39). The issue cards are in the box with the other issue cards and the cables are in a pamphlet box next to the rest of the cables.
Just issue/discharge to the reader in the normal way.

The trial of Mintel Global Market Navigator (GMN) is now live. This is a database of global market data containing market size, market share and forecast data for thousands of consumer goods categories worldwide.
The trial will run from the 1st of March to the 31st of May.
Access is authenticated by IP address therefore users will need to be on campus or accessing the resource through RAS.
The database is listed in all of the business subjects on the library homepage and is listed alphabetically under Mintel Global Market Navigator Click on list by subject or resources by subject on the left hand side of the following page : http://www.ncl.ac.uk/library/resources/databases/
Attached is a helpsheet for the product. There are also some short video tutorials within the database itself under help.

I thought this information may be useful to know since the vending machines in the cafe are proving a bit unreliable at the moment. People who lose their money i.e. the drink or snack is not vended can get a refund from the Catering office in Kings Road Centre (I presume during office hours) . This is the case for all vending machines maintained by University Accommodation and Hospitality Services across campus.
