Wayne has secured a corporate membership for the Lit and Phil Library. From now on, University staff can join for 75 pounds (saving 24%) and students for only 24 pounds. Lit and Phil members have access to an outstanding collection and can borrow most books published after 1850.

The Lit & Phil opened in 1825 and the magnificent reading rooms remain largely unchanged today. As well as being an amazing library, it is a lovely place to work, read or just relax. Although a general collection, it excels in literature, local history, travel and biography. Staff can borrow eight books at a time and students four, and there are no fines.
In addition to the books, the Lit & Phil boasts an exceptional music library, and a very impressive lecture programme. Members can add on music membership and benefit from priority booking for events.
