Students who are studying for A and AS levels at local further education colleges (Newcastle College, Gateshead College, Derwentside, TyneMet etc) can now join the Library 6th form access scheme. Most are designated as 6th Form Colleges nowadays and are members of the University Partners scheme.

The online application form has been amended to include the name of the course they are doing, as membership doesn’t extend to students of other courses (eg Btecs, MBAs etc) at these colleges.
