
We recently ran an app swap event at the Learning and Teaching conference. This was very well attended, although the room layout was not conducive to the collaborative nature of these events. We managed, and the participants contributed some fantastic apps, some of which are outlined below.

Evernote
Evernote is a suite type of software and services, designed for notetaking and archiving. A “note” can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten “ink” note. Notes can also have file attachments.
Mendeley
Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network. Make your own fully-searchable library in seconds, cite as you write, and read and annotate your PDFs on any device.
