What we are looking for
We develop in several programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin. We use many different approaches: Semantic technology, ontologies, machine learning, ElasticSearch, knowledge graphs, visualisation of data.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic software developers or data scientists to join us on a project using one or more of the above languages and technologies to research and develop innovative solutions for the life science and healthcare industry. You will be supported by a team of experts and a culture of collaboration and innovation. We will tailor a project to fit your strengths and interests while helping educate you on what we do and how.
Example projects:
- Machine learning applied to pattern recognition of biological relationships in text, such as identifying adverse event detections, drug-drug interactions
- Visualiation of data using ontologies and/or graphs
- Question and answering systems using knowledge graphs
- NLP approaches for interpreting natural language questions into structured queries
Knowledge of pharmaceutical domain or semantic technology is not a requirement, however a willingness to learn about the approaches and technology in this area is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skill set in one of the hottest areas, based on a fabulous campus in South Cambridgeshire.
