Student requirements: This internship is open to all Newcastle University students with strong computing skills.

Closing date: 14/10/2024

Dates and times: This internship will take place for 50 hours between the December/January and March. Hours will be flexible around your course. The internship will take place remotely.

Bursary/wage: £625 Bursary

Role overview: This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is currently at the pre-launch stage. With support from the Business Founder, you will get the website ready for launch. As a Fullstack (Next.js and Node.js) Developer Intern at SoundConnect, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a scalable, high-performance platform for music educators. You’ll work on both the frontend and backend, ensuring seamless integration of interactive features, optimized performance, and a user-friendly experience. The role requires proficiency in Next.js, Node.js, and a deep understanding of RESTful APIs, database management, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team to innovate and enhance the platform, driving SoundConnect’s mission to revolutionize music education.

Role title, company name: Technical Project Management Intern, Shape Technical Consulting

Student requirements: This internship is open to all Newcastle University students.

Closing date: 14/10/2024

Dates and times: This internship will take place for 50 hours between the October and December 2024. You will undertake on average 5 hours per week, with hours flexible around your course. The internship will take place remotely.

Bursary/wage: £625 Bursary

Role overview: The internship will provide someone with experience as being part of an agile scrum team and experience helping to organise a project at a high level. The internship will give a technical student a high-level insight to the work done on a live client software development project as well as a basic understanding of tools used in the industry to project manage.

Role title, company name: Software Development Intern, TrainAir Ltd

Student requirements: This internship is open to all Newcastle University students. The intern will preferably be undertaking a BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, but candidates with significant practical experience and a proven track record in software development will also be considered.

Closing date: 14/10/2024

Dates and times: This internship will take place for 200 hours between the October 2024 – February 2025. You will undertake on average 15 hours per week, with hours flexible around your course. The internship will take place remotely.

Bursary/wage: £2,500 Bursary

Role overview: An intern will play a crucial role in both maintaining the high performance of The Training Marketplace platform and driving its evolution through the development of new features and functionalities. This internship balances the need for routine maintenance with the opportunity to contribute to significant projects that enhance our marketplace’s value to users. At The Training Marketplace we are aiming to be a global leader in this field, and this is a great opportunity to join an established platform at its early growth phase. Whilst the work is remote there will be opportunities to join the team in London and at the Catalyst.
