Providing Software as a Service (SaaS) to the rapidly growing Financial Technology (FinTech) market & based in Newcastle upon Tyne, we are seeking a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / Data Analyst to join our team.
Our objective is to provide an out-of-the-box solution that simplifies the complex back office technology and processes needed to manage Mastercard, Visa and other card issuing portfolios and mobile payment products.
We are a small but rapidly growing team with global aspirations.
THE ROLE
Permanent/Full-time
Location – Home working and/or our Newcastle upon Tyne office
We are looking for a person with skills in computer science, mathematics or data analysis to build data visualisations, reports, dashboards and data views over large datasets.
This will be achieved through writing SQL queries to transform data and put it into views, and then building & deploying reports and dashboards on behalf of our clients.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for:
- Writing SQL queries in order to transform and collate data from multiple data sources into the desired format for reporting
- Building data models that allow reports to be built efficiently and accurately
- Maintaining an inventory of views, dashboards and reports, and managing changes to existing reports and the rollout of new reports
- Authoring new reports on demand from clients as required by the business in order to improve our service offering
- Proactively identifying new data that can be brought in to enhance business insights
- Verification of data when required, ensuring integrity and ‘right first time’
- Utilise automated tasks to deliver the right data and reporting to the right end users
- Recommend improvements as to how data is generated and utilised
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The person filling this role will have:
- Prior work experience or qualification in one of the following fields: computer science / programming; data analysis; mathematics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of IT systems and databases
- Demonstrated analytical ability, including the management of data
- Competent writing SQL queries to create views
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- £18,000 – £25,000 depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave
