Role overview: The role will involve data analysis of multiple surveys and focus group data. The aims of this data analysis are to investigate student perceptions of the educational value of academic skills based sign offs compared to traditionally marked in-course assignments. AkzoNobel are a leading marine coatings company that develops innovative solutions for marine fouling control. Student Work Opportunity- Animator


Role details and responsibilities: We are looking for a student to create a schematic animation of the temporomandibular joint and its articular disc to help patients understand disc displacement on a patient-based video the Dental school is currently producing. The animation would need to involve the following 3 stages:


1) Normal disc movement – disc moving synchronously with the hinge
2) Disc displacement – discs moving out of position between hinge and translation motions
3) Disc displacement without reduction – as (2) above but the disc doesn’t move back and the joint can only hinge and not translate
