The Job

We are a cloud mature team, mainly working with azure. You’ll use and learn about various frameworks, tools and languages which are built around a microservice architecture, including vue.js, docker, typescript and vuetify. We have the freedom to use the right tech to create great solutions and you’ll get exposure to many of these.

We’re a small team that has grown from scratch over the last year, fully supported by a great and established business, building new cloud based applications. You’ll be a key part of this, helping to architect and shape our solutions as you apply your skills, building specific applications that are built on machine learning platforms. These applications will deliver direct value to real customers.

Over the coming year we’ll be doing more image processing and machine learning, with various back end technologies feeding the front end, including python and tensorflow.

About You

You’ll love programming and have outstanding technical skills, as well as be eager to work in a growing business environment, surrounded by great people. You’ll keep up with the latest advancements in your field. You’ll have one ear to the ground in relation to libraries, frameworks and other services that could aid your working process.

You’ll seek learning opportunities to deepen your expertise or broaden your knowledge and be keen to learn from others, whether they be in our office, at conferences or online.

You will get experience working with things like cloud services, relational databases, server side programming languages like Python or C# and version control.

Graduate Software Developer Position at Heliguy

Responsibilities:

  • Work with digital strategy, content, development, and design teams to ensure successful on-page optimisations on websites
  • Perform keyword research, including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
  • Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
  • Develops an understanding of and relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Typically 0-2 years experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages. Experience working with any of these website analytics and SEO tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Keyword Planner, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Moz, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types
  • Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
