Graduate Software Engineer  

We are looking for strong Computer Science or Web Programming graduate to join our Team at Vantec Europe Ltd.

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our Innovation Team, working at the forefront of   technology within the world of Warehousing & Logistics our world class customers include Nissan, Rolls-Royce Car Manufacturing, Komatsu and Thorn Lighting.

The Role:

  • Design & Develop our existing Immersive technology to enable us to incorporate 3d technology. implement and
  • Test and refine project features throughout the development cycle of the project
  • Support project teams on specific demos and projects as required.

The Requirements:

  • Graduate in a relevant discipline, able to demonstrate skills through examples of work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills  
  • Ability to write well-structured, high level code with consideration for both maintainability and optimisation.
  • Understanding of a good selection of web technologies including things like…
    • Server OS (Linux, Windows Server).
    • Server Coding (NodeJS, Python).
    • Cloud Services (AWS).
    • NoSQL (MongoDB).

Organisation Description:

Principle One is a small, rapidly growing, specialist consultancy firm, founded in 2018. We work in partnership with UK Law Enforcement and National Security customers to address the complex challenges of an evolving threat landscape. From systems engineering to business change, we bring deep understanding of the domain and a passion for supporting those who work to make the UK a safer place.

Location:

We are based in Vauxhall in London and combine office-based with remote working and occasional work from customer site across the UK.

Role Description:

We offer opportunities for new and recent graduates. You will work closely with our experienced consultants, developing technical and consulting skills through a mix of on the job training and workshops run by our domain experts. You will deliver projects that range from technical de-risk and early stage proof of concept to developing new ideas and approaches in digital policing. As we are a small, rapidly growing business, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to our internal processes and systems as we grow.

You will have the opportunity to try out different roles, ranging from business analyst to technical consultant and have the chance to develop a wide range of skills.

You will be working within a team of people who are passionate about the work they do and the role we play in helping our clients to make the UK a safer place, tackle crime and safeguard vulnerable people. Requirements:

We are seeking applicants with a strong academic track record; ideally in a STEM subject but we are also open to candidates from broader backgrounds with a strong interest in working in the Law Enforcement sector. We are looking for applicants who are good communicators, self-starting and keen to develop new skills.

Recruitment is ongoing and can offer start dates in July or September 2021.

Due to the nature of the role and the work we undertake with our clients, you should be a British Citizen and be willing to apply for security check (SC) clearance if no existing clearance is held. You may occasionally be required to travel to client sites around the UK or work out of customer or partner offices for periods of time and we will work with you to ensure we get the right work life balance. 

Salary:

The roles will be paid at a rate of £31,000 p.a. plus benefits package (healthcare, mobile phone allowance and discretionary bonus).
