You will be part of an established talent team which develops innovative software solutions for household name businesses around the globe. Macro 4 is a software division of UNICOM Global, one of the world’s fastest growing technology companies and a long-term partner of IBM.

Our technical teams are experienced in all major computing platforms, including IBM mainframes, Power, UNIX, Windows and new mobile and emerging technologies such as Blockchain. You will work closely with other areas of the business to support the entire product development lifecycle, helping you gain an insight into how a successful software company operates.

We are offering three placements at our European headquarters situated a short train ride from the city of London and Brighton with easy access from the M23. Two of the placements will be within the Research and Development team, and one will be within the Marketing team.

Lit Lab – Web and mobile development opportunity

Lit Lab is a professional network for basic science and academia. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a startup looking to advance scientific research.

We’re looking for a software engineer to build a prototype which will have a database for profiles, jobs and funding opportunities. The chosen candidate can develop this in their own time and will receive £500 upfront and a further £1500 on completion. The work should take around 4-6 weeks to complete.
