Role: Graduate Digital Analytics
Location: Milton Keynes
Duration: 2 year graduate roles leading to permanent opportunities
Remuneration: £26,000p/a + excellent benefits

Argos is changing. We’ve set our sights on becoming the UK’s leading digital retailer. And we’re now well on the way to assembling the best talent in the industry to make it happen. It’s nothing short of a reinvention. We’re not just transforming our business model. We want to transform the way people shop. And in our exciting graduate roles, you’ll play a pivotal role in making that happen.

It’s about more than reporting and endless spreadsheets, far from it! We’re a creative bunch – mixing top class digital analytics, data visualisation and communication with infectious personalities that enable us to create compelling action led stories based on data and insight. We’re looking for somebody that can get to grips with something unfamiliar, logically understand it and creatively transform it in to something that anybody can understand.

Argos sells over 50,000 products and, with over 900m visits to our online, tablet and mobile channels last year, the roles within these teams are critical to company performance. Digital Analytics are at the heart of the business and you will work with many other teams to create a fantastic experience for our customers.

What you’ll do in Digital Analytics at Argos
Your time in each rotation will initially be to develop an understanding of that area and will likely start off with a steep learning curve, leading on to supporting with some of the day to day responsibilities of the role and growing to be responsible for an area of that team.

Different teams work in different ways, for example while working within the digital trading part of the team we’ll strive to give you ownership of a particular area, for example you could become the analyst responsible for:

Own Brand who manage our Argos own products such as Chad Valley and Hygena.
Digital Operations who support the day to day operation of our digital channels.
Media Business who are responsible for monetising our website.

The digital analytics development team on the other hand are much more about working together closely toward a single goal. Working alongside the developers and technical product owners you could be supporting planning, testing and managing stakeholders but you’ll need to do so by working closely with your colleagues.

Some parts of our team will have more scope for independent and autonomous working while others will be centred on working together closely as a team toward a single goal. Working in each of these areas will both give you the experience of working both independently and inter-dependently.

What we’re looking for

Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret data and make decisions at pace.
Drive and determination to succeed and set your own high-standards
Good networking and influencing skills. Comfortable interacting with stakeholders internally and externally. A passionate customer advocate. Ability to work under pressure, multi taking numerous projects at once.

What we offer
You’d think that joining one of the most exciting digital environments is reward enough. But we’ll also give you great benefits too. As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy 24 days’ holiday, staff discount, save as you earn scheme, 2 days paid volunteering and staff discount at Argos, Sainsbury’s and Habitat. Our training and development offering is one of the best in the business, so if you’re ambitious and want to develop your career you will love working with us.
