Following a very successful pilot in conjunction with Newcastle University’s Data Innovation Centre, LKQ is recruiting a Program Manager to join the European Big Data/Machine Learning team based out of Newcastle with European travel.
What is the Big Data Program Manager?

For the position of Program Manager, we are looking for an exceptional individual who understands data, cloud computing and machine learning who wants a career in project management. You will be result driven and will actively contribute to successful delivery of the project.
Big Data Program Manager Role
A motivated and enthusiastic Data Scientist/Technologist/Mathematician with an understanding of data, technology and project management.
Skills, Experience and Educational requirements are:
- A highly motivated committed individual who wants to learn, deliver, grow and succeed
- Knowledge of software, hardware and cloud computing
- An understanding of/willingness to learn the planning, coordinating, managing and documenting projects
- Proficiency in general IT work packages such as MS Office Suite
- Strong written, presentation, communication skills and can articulate complex solutions.
- A positive attitude, an inclusive approach to building partnerships and well organised in a fast-moving technological environment.
- The ability and willingness to travel across Europe
- A BSc/MSc/PhD in Data Science/Computer Science/Maths & Statistics/Technology
