Welcome to the Drawing Forum

The Drawing Forum is a place for discussions, making and ideas about contemporary practice around drawing. Drawing is here understood in the broadest sense, as Roger Fry quoted a child’s definition of drawing; ‘I think and draw a line around my think’.

Observational drawing, Life and figure drawing, mark making, drawing as a form of looking or exploring space, etc. Drawing works across subject and media disciplines.

We are meeting three times per semester. Check ‘News’ for meetings and important dates. If you have any questions, suggestions or ideas please contact the forum organiser Tracey Tofield tracey.tofield@newcastle.ac.uk .
