The suite of Ridley 2 Level 1 teaching rooms will be refurbished over the 2022 summer period ready for teaching in September for the new academic year 2022/23. Baddiley-Clark 1.65 will also be refurbished and reinstated as a common user flat-floor teaching space.

06/06/2019 – Ready for the seating in Herschel Lecture Theatres
Decoration and flooring has been completed in Lecture Theatres 1, 2 and 3 ready for the new seating to be installed on from Monday 9th September.
The flooring in the Curtis Auditorium will be completed next week with the seating installation commencing on 14th September.
The AV installation will continue in the Curtis Auditroium and the projection booths throughout next week with testing and commissioning taking place the week after.

Cassie Building Teaching Spaces Refurbishment
Cassie Building rooms 2.32 and 2.33 are currently being refurbished.
Teaching room 2.33 is being decorated and fitted with new AV equipment to bring it up to current standards and Lecture Theatre 2.32 is being reconfigured to provide improved accessibility (including wider doors and a new induction loop) and will be fitted with collaborative ‘turn-and-learn’ style seating which can be viewed here: Cassie 2.32: New Layout
Feedback on the new lecture theatre will be gathered and used to inform upcoming capital projects, in particular the Stephenson Building refurbishment. Details on how to provided feedback will be circulated to all timetabled users in the coming academic year.
