For the sixth time in HESG history, we are delighted to welcome health economists, new and old, back to Newcastle!
HESG2020 takes place on Monday 6th to Wednesday 8th January at Newcastle’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, based within easy walking distance from the Central station.
We kick-off on Monday morning with a pre-conference workshop by members of Cochrane on the role of economics in Cochrane Systematic Reviews. The workshop will be led by Professor Luke Vale and is aimed at early-career researchers, but everyone is welcome to attend. This will benefit those interested in collaborative opportunities with Cochrane and/or those interested in evidence synthesis.
The first parallel session starts at 1pm on Monday. There will be a welcome reception with drinks and canapés that evening. After a full day of sessions on Tuesday, the conference dinner will be held at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, within easy walking distance of the lively Newcastle quayside. It promises to be a highlight, with one of the best views of the Tyne. Wednesday is a half-day, finishing at 1pm, with a packed lunch to go.
We hope you can come and join us in the Toon!
