Not selecting the best module mark!

If the programme is set as undergrad (on the programme setup screen) and it is the last  or ONLY stage then the best module mark algorithm is not used!

Change implemented 13/June/2011 3:07 by JMM14 (“fixed bugs in these files”!)

See  Item 55 04UGExam.pdf (also note 54 and 33 for completeness) – none of this exists in PGTExam.pdf.

This programme is for ‘occasional’ – in this case students just doing modules for credit at other institutions – so no final/degree/pg awarded.

Altering code to use the occasional flag (which was already set) which on top of previous functionality now allows best mark to come through.

Resit coursework – late – capped at Zero

This is a regs change from last year.

Policies on Submission of Assessed Work, Feedback on and Return of Assessed Work
Section – Submission of Assessed Work Policy – Item 14.
– “14. If a student fails to submit a re-sit assessment by an established re-sit deadline, without an approved extension, he/she must receive a mark of zero.”

Ness Colour printing

Its not particularly NESS btw – IE by default does not print in colour. (Something about the price of ink in the olden days)!

In IE 8+ (I beleive):

Bring down the File menu on the upper left of the IE window.

Select Page setup.

Look for the option (a check-box) Titled ‘Print Background Colors(USA) and Images.

If its not checked then check it – if it already is checked you are in trouble (like you are not using a colour printer or something beyond this FAQ can sort!)
