The NoVA team took part in Newcastle University’s Discover Festival.
On the day, around 2,500 people attended and enjoyed a wide range of activities, workshops and performances across campus.

Hannah and Alma presented two interactive stands. One invited children to think about mobility and Parkinson’s by designing an app to support self-monitoring for older adults. The other helped children explore explainable AI using coloured cubes and an explorer dashboard to identify penguins in Antarctica.

It was a great day of sharing research with local families in a fun and accessible way. Thank you to everyone who visited and to the Discover Festival team for organising such a fantastic event!
