I’ll be adding more content here soon… but in the meantime I’ve selected some pictures of the landscape around Llyn Trawsfynydd which I’ve enjoyed looking at over 2020. It may seem strange that, under lockdown conditions where I could have digitally dwelt in all kinds of different landscapes, I keep coming back to one which contains the carcasses of two nuclear reactors. The landscape is beautiful (Snowdonia is beautiful), but here at Trawsfynydd, in addition to the beauty, there’s a sense that the landscape is rich with ideas, even brimming with ideas, about how accommodating a landscape might be, and what possibilities it affords, and how features can be soundly made in a place like this. And the possibility (probability?) that those ideas didn’t work doesn’t make the encountering of them less compelling.
