The colloqium will be held in the Armstrong Building, which is located at the centre of Newcastle’s main campus.

The address is: Armstrong Building, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 5TG, United Kingdom

The event will take place in the third floor of this building, in room ARM 3.38. The room is accessible either by the central stairwell, or the lifts. On the day, we will signpost directions to the room from both these locations.

Accessibility

The venue for the colloquium is located a 10-15 minute (slightly uphill) walk from Newcastle Central Station. If travelling directly from the station, you may wish to get a taxi from the taxi rank located outside the station. Alternatively, you can book a taxi in advance through one of the local taxi service companies (e.g. Newcastle Taxis).

The room the colloqium will be held in is located on a third floor, but the building is fully accessible, and includes a lift and accessible toilet facilities.

For those attending remotely, the colloquium will be held on Zoom, which features accessibility features like live captioning. More information on this will be shared closer to the event.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility at and during the colloquium, please contact David Ventura (david.ventura@ncl.ac.uk).
