After a 5 year hiatus, CLS returns!
Following the pre-pandemic success of CLShef in 2019, CLS returns in 2024 at Newcastle University.
CLS 2024 will take place from Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th July 2024 – mark your diaries now, and if you want to receive updates, click here to subscribe to our JISC-mail list.
Please note that, due to the facilities we have access to, CLS 2024 will be an in-person conference, and we will not be able to accommodate remote talks. However, please email us if you cannot attend in person and wish to discuss unmanned poster presentation.
We are also offering two fee waivers for student presenters thanks to the generosity of the Linguistics Association of Great Britain: please see more on our Plan Your Attendance page and apply by 29th April. Our bursaries have now been awarded – congrats to the successful applicants and thanks to everyone for your work and time.
We’re excited to welcome the following plenary speakers to help us celebrate CLS’s return:
Prof. Ben Ambridge (University of Manchester)
Prof. Judy Clegg (University of Sheffield)
Prof. Chloë Marshall (University College London)
Prof. Helen Stringer (Newcastle University)
Prof. Jason Rothman (University of Tromsø)
Registration is now open – see our Plan Your Attendance page for full details and links to the WebStore.
The CLS 2024 organising team is:
