About the Role:

We have an exciting new opportunity to join us this September for 12 months within our Software Quality Assurance Team.

You will start your day with a Daily Scrum event and you will provide updates on the progress of tasks allocated to you, as the team works towards its goals. Most of our teams work within a Scrum Framework and work in Sprints (typically, time boxed to 2 weeks), as they work towards their Sprint Goal as part of an iterative software development process.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the goals of your development team, with a focus on the delivery of good quality software

• Use automation and manual software testing techniques to assess the quality of software under test

• Contribute to functional and non-functional testing activities (such as digital accessibility, performance testing, security testing)

• There is a wide range of browsers and devices available today, you will use cloud-based Device Farms to complete cross-browser/cross device testing.

• Effective communication with your development team on progress of tickets assigned to you.

The role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in test automation techniques, and other software testing methods, working within a multi-disciplinary development team. The role of a tester is to help ensure that the products we build meet the needs of our customers.

With the support of your manager and mentor, you will have objectives to work towards to make sure you are developing during your time with us. We really want to hear your ideas throughout your time with us, so you’ll have lots of opportunity to suggest new and innovative ways of working.

About You

You will need to have successfully completed the second year of your studies and intend to return to University to complete your final year at the end of your placement.  We are interested in all IT related degrees, and you should have a desire to work in business and financial services.

You will need to be able to demonstrate

• Confidence to communicate effectively via different methods of communication

• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills

• An ability to work both independently and within a team

• Willingness to commit to your own development
