Student Work Opportunity- Animator


Role details and responsibilities: We are looking for a student to create a schematic animation of the temporomandibular joint and its articular disc to help patients understand disc displacement on a patient-based video the Dental school is currently producing. The animation would need to involve the following 3 stages:


1) Normal disc movement – disc moving synchronously with the hinge
2) Disc displacement – discs moving out of position between hinge and translation motions
3) Disc displacement without reduction – as (2) above but the disc doesn’t move back and the joint can only hinge and not translate

Dates and times: 05/02/2024 – 18/02/2024 (max 20 hours per week)
Skills required: To be eligible to apply you must be a registered Newcastle University student throughout the 2023/24 academic year.


Essential Skills:
• Animation / previous experience creating animations.

Hourly rate of pay: £13.76


Location: Remote
