Grace Nield runner-up for RAS Keith Runcorn thesis prize

News just in – Dr Grace Nield, who passed her PhD viva back in October, has just been named as the runner up for the Royal Astronomical Society‘s 2014 Keith Runcorn Prize for UK PhD theses in geophysics.

It’s particularly nice for the prize to come back to Newcastle University, as this is where Keith Runcorn spent the majority of his professional life.
