Philosophy and art at the Hatton Gallery

This might be of interest to some of you and it may help generate ideas for your projects:

I’m emailing to let you know about a mini-series of free philosophical enquiry workshops coming up at the Hatton Gallery in the next few weeks.

The workshops accompany our current exhibition, Unsensed, showcasing new work by seven contemporary artists who reveal the unseen and unnoticed facets of our everyday environment.

They are run by the organisation Thinking Space, a small team of philosopher-educators who work with museums and galleries to create interesting and inclusive spaces for people of all ages to talk and think together.

Although not exclusively aimed at people with an existing engagement with philosophy, I hope these sessions would have something to offer your students.

The sessions are free and informal, and tea and coffee will be provided – rather a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

If you think the sessions may be of interest I would be very grateful if you could share this link and encourage them to book soon before the sessions fill up: https://hattongallery.org.uk/whats-on/unsensed-art-inspired-philosophical-enquiry-workshops

Best wishes

Madeleine
