Data Analyst, Newcastle University

Dates and times: This internship is expected to be for a total of 60 hours, working approximately 30 hours per week between June and July 2024. Working days and times are flexible.

Bursary/wage: £17.19 per hour including holiday pay

Role overview: The role will involve data analysis of multiple surveys and focus group data. The aims of this data analysis are to investigate student perceptions of the educational value of academic skills based sign offs compared to traditionally marked in-course assignments. We aim to analyse both students’ perceptions of skills development, as well as the level of student satisfaction with their assignment feedback.

Research Assistant (Quantitative and Qualitative Research), Newcastle University

Dates and times: This internship is expected to be for a total of 50 hours, working approximately 8 hours per week between April and September 2024. Working days and times are flexible.

Role overview: The Research Culture team are looking for a student with expertise in quantitative and qualitative evaluation methodology to support this standalone research culture project. The intern will use quantitative and qualitative methods to measure and evaluate the impact of these initiatives on research culture within the Astro-Obs group and wider school.

Student requirements:

Dates and times: This internship will run for 300 hours undertaken flexibly around your course. You will attend business premises as well as work remotely.

Bursary/wage: £3,750

Role overview: This internship provides the opportunity to gain experience in multiple business areas (including trading, customer relationships and internal operations) and to develop further in one or more areas. The analyst will research and present critical analyses to inform a variety of strategic, trading, and operational decisions, receiving training and support from experienced analyst team members. They will support existing business areas when required, including Finance and Operations.

Global Opportunities Summer Intern, Newcastle University
