Speech and Language Processing, Emotional Processing in Laughter, Tinnitus
I am a Neuroscientist with an excellent track record in speech and language processing. I have studied the brain responses to syntactic and prosodic information during speech processing. Most recently, during my Visiting Fellowship at the Language&Brain Laboratory at the University of Oxford, I have extended my investigations to morpho-phonological processing which is essential for word recognition. I have employed behavioral and brain imaging techniques (EEG, MEG, fMRI) for measuring brain reactions to auditory stimuli. My current research focuses on speech processing in Developmental Language Disorder, emotional processing in laughter, and research on Tinnitus.
