Hi, thanks for visiting the website for the Newcastle University Phonetics and Phonology research group. We are staff and students from several departments across the University including:
- Education, Communication and Language Sciences (ECLS)
- English Literature, Language and Linguistics (SELLL)
- Modern Languages (SML)
- Population Health Sciences Institute (PHSI)
- Biosciences Institute (NUBI)
We all have a large variety of areas of interest and research but are linked by our interest in how we produce, perceive and understand the sounds of our languages. More information can be found in the individual profiles under the People tab.
Have a look at our Blog to find out what we have been up to recently. Our most recent post is about the latest research on the application of gamification in accent studies from members of our groups.
