Theoretical Phonology, Morphology and Morphophonology
My research focuses on phonological structure, particularly in its interaction with morphology. The languages I have concentrated on are Welsh, French, German, and more generally on the Celtic, Romance and Germanic language families. Recent books include The Routledge Handbook of Phonological Theory (Routledge, 2018), The Phonology of Welsh (Oxford U Press, 2013), Introducing Phonetics & Phonology (Routeldge, 3rd ed. 2010).
