We have been playing with polarising microscopes again!

Here are three images by Roufaida, showing collagen fibers (thin in green, thick in red) in mouse articular cartilage (top image), in the growth plate (middle image), and in the The annulus fibrosus, the tough, outer ring of fibrocartilage that surrounds each intervertebral disc in the spine. Aren’t they amazing?
