PROJECT OVERSIGHT:

Alex is an Economic Geographer and as PI co-ordinates the entire SCArFEthics Project.

 

 

Suzanne is a Geographer interested in the more-than human social, and works with Alex in co-ordinating across the SCArFEthics Project phases.

Rita is Co-Investigator on our Brazil case study.

 

Roberto is Co-Investigator on our Brazil case study.

 

Dorothea is a Geographer with research interests in sustainable and just development futures, and digital geographies. Dorothea is Co-Investigator on our Brazil case study.

    Co-Investigator: University of Cape Town, South Africa

Shari is a Cultural Geographer and Co-Investigator on our South Africa case study.

 

 

Cheryl’s research interests are focused around the intersections between cultural, political and development geographies. Cheryl is Co-Investigator on our South Africa case study.

 

  • Dr Kim Coetzee
    Research Associate: University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Kim is in the field of Global Environmental Governance, and is interested in the overlap between the trade and climate change regimes.

 

 

BRINGING THE CASE STUDIES TOGETHER:

Bob’s specialism is in marketing, he is particularly interested in researching those enterprises which promote both social welfare and reduce environmental degradation.  Bob is co-ordinating the Quantitative Research across all three case studies.

 

Fernando’s research focuses on global marketing issues from the perspective of multinational enterprises. Fernando is working with Bob and Hector in undertaking Quantitative Research across all three case studies.

 

Hector has a research interest in how various factors impact a consumer’s self-concept.  His research is interdisciplinary and draws from various domains such as social and cognitive psychology, social robotics and marketing. Hector is working with Bob and Fernando in undertaking Quantitative Research across all three case studies.

 

Stefania’s research specialism is in Digital Sociology. Stefania is co-ordinating Digital Ethnographies across all the case study cities.

 

  • Daniel Kirkby
    Research Assistant: Sheffield University, UK

As Research Assistant on SCArFE, Danny will be using digitally native tools for collecting, cleaning and analysing social media data over a 12 month period, working alongside the digital methods team at the University of Sheffield

PROJECT ASSISTANCE:

Maddy is a Doctoral Candidate in Geography and is working with Alex and Suzanne on the N8 funded set-up for the larger ESRC project.
