- Chloe Daykin is one of the most successful alumni from the Newcastle University postgraduate creative writing programmes. Her debut Fish Boy is now out in Italy, courtesy of Giunti Editore, and it went straight into number 6 in charts there! Her second book The Boy who Hit Play came out last year, also published by Faber & Faber, and her third, Fire Girl Forest Boy, is out this July. Chloe’s first two books have been hugely successful in the UK, the first one was shortlisted for Branford Boase children’s debut of the year, and both later shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. I can recommend them to those who are interested in writing for children, or simply interested in reading good, enjoyable stories. You will have a unique opportunity to experience Chloe as a tutor on 18 May at the NCLA Creative Saturday Course.
