Visitor from South Africa

Last week, Professor Chris Buckley, Head of the Pollution Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal was paying us a visit. He was impressed with Kishor’s demonstration of our portable laboratory for water quality analysis. Hopefully there will be an opportunity for future collaborations with Professor Buckley’s team.

Successful sequencing test in Thailand

Following on from the molecular microbiology training at Newcastle University, Adrian Blackburn and I visited KMUTT to help researchers with MinION sequencing of aquaculture microbiomes in their own laboratory. We also attended an international workshop and met researchers from different parts of Thailand. I love these beautifully hand-written notes on Newton Fund and British Council paper.
