About
Welcome to Newcastle University’s Graduating Fine Art cohort 2021. This website archives the work of each graduating year since 2020, as a digitalisation of each cohort’s emergence as artists.
This page showcases work by students of the graduating year of 2021 who were involved in the BA FINE ART DEGREE SHOW 2021, Newcastle University’s annual exhibition, which returns after a year-long pause due to Covid-19. The exhibition (5-19 June) brings together a diverse set of contemporary voices through the work of fifty-six artists as the culmination of their four-year bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. Catalogues and student artwork are also available for purchase.
Displaying a diverse set of practices with media ranging from painting, print, photography, sculpture, video, and sound art to performance, installation, textiles and new media, the public show takes place across the Newcastle University campus including Hatton Gallery, the Fine Art studios and The Boiler House from Saturday 5th June to Saturday 19th June. Opening times: 10am to 5pm (Monday- Saturday) Venue: Fine Art Department, Newcastle University, NE1 7RU
